CHRIS MERRILEES

Chris Merrilees is a lawyer at Littlejohn Barristers, having joined the firm in 2024. Chris has extensive experience within the insurance industry, having worked as an insurance adjuster before attending law school and having previously worked for an insurance defence firm.
 

Chris completed his Juris Doctor at Western Law. While there, he was a founding member of Western’s Personal Injury and Insurance Law Association, which works to improve awareness and education about this area of practice and to facilitate connections with employers. In addition, he was a member of Western’s Health Law Association, helping run an annual Medical Malpractice moot competition for the school.
 

Outside of the law, Chris has a long history of involvement with Scouts Canada, in particular with Camp Adventureland, having contributed to the camp in various roles since 2008. He is an avid camper and skier, having skied on three Olympic Hills.
